Professional Biography

I am a fellowship trained Upper Limb consultant specialising in the Hand, Wrist, Elbow and Shoulder and am on the GMC specialist register. I am a new addition to the team at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh and am a full time Orthopaedic Consultant providing Trauma care at Royal Albert Edward Infirmary Hospital (Wigan) and a full Elective service at Wrightington Hospital.

I completed my Orthopaedic surgical training in London and the south of England spending time doing Complex tertiary trauma and Elective Upper limb work at a Trauma Unit. After completing my training I undertook international Upper limb fellowships in Nice, France and Melbourne, Australia. Coming back to the UK to do an Upper limb fellowship at Wrightington Hospital and subsequently being appointed as a Consultant at the Specialist Orthopaedic Hospital. I was awarded the prestigious BESS travelling fellowship and visited North America. I have also been awarded the Ethicon and Barbers awards and has spent time abroad developing Upper limb operative skills to bring back to the UK.

I have maintained a strong interest in teaching and research and has completed a BSc and two Masters degrees in the area of Trauma and Orthopaedics. I am very enthusiastic about teaching fellows, trainees and healthcare professionals.

I have a particular interest in Trauma, Sports injuries and degenerative conditions of the Upper Limb.
